Custom LASIK

Custom LASIK surgery often referred to as WaveFront LASIK, uses a technology called a WaveFront analyzer which creates and individualized, 3-dimensional measurement of how your eye processes images to guide the laser in re-shaping the front part of the eye. With WaveFront measurements, extremely precise, individualized vision correction outcomes can be achieved that are not possible with traditional LASIK.

With custom LASIK, your eye's ability to focus light rays is measured, and a 3-D map is created, that demonstrates irregularities in the way your eye processes images. Your surgeon will use the information contained in this map to guide the laser, thereby customizing the treatment as it reshapes your eye's corneal surface to correct these irregularities.

WaveFront technology has the potential to improve visual acuity (how much you can see) but also contrast sensitivity and fine detail. This often translates into reduced risks and complications, such as glare, halos and difficulty with night vision.

Unlike traditional LASIK, Custom LASIK treats both lower-order and higher-order aberrations and provides significant advantages in the quality of vision:

This customized procedure may result in patients seeing clearer and sharper than ever before – even better than your vision corrected with either glasses or contacts, however it is not the best option for everyone. During your comprehensive evaluation you will learn if you are a candidate for Custom LASIK and if it is the right procedure for you to enjoy Your Best Vision at Any Age.
